CS2 eDPI Calculator
Type DPI and CS2 sensitivity. You get eDPI, cm/360, and the sensitivity for a target eDPI.
Current CS2 result

What does 800 eDPI look like in CS2?
800 DPI × 1.0 sensitivity = 800 eDPI. In hipfire that is 52.0 cm/360.
400 DPI × 2.0 sensitivity is also 800 eDPI, and the same 52.0 cm/360. Inside CS2, matching eDPI means matching turn distance.
Where does this sit in the sample?
The 2026-07-25 Liquipedia check has 10 active CS2 players. Median eDPI is 800. The middle 80% runs from 680 to 1000. That is where those rows landed, not a number you have to copy.
600 eDPI sits below that band. 1200 eDPI sits above it. The table has rows near both ends (560 and 1236). Both are valid CS2 settings; they are just outside this sample's middle 80%.

What is the CS2 eDPI formula?
eDPI is mouse DPI times CS2 sensitivity. Resolution and aspect ratio do not change that product.
cm/360 is how far the mouse travels for one full turn: (360 × 2.54) / (DPI × sensitivity × 0.022). The 0.022 is CS2's standard yaw.
How to calculate CS2 eDPI
- 1. Enter your mouse DPI. Use the DPI from the mouse profile you play with. 400, 800, 1600, and 3200 are shortcuts if those are yours.
- 2. Enter CS2 sensitivity. Copy Mouse Sensitivity from Settings > Keyboard/Mouse.
- 3. Read eDPI, cm/360, and the sample band. The numbers update as you type. If you want a different eDPI at the same DPI, type that target and take the sensitivity it gives you.
DPI comes from your mouse software. CS2 does not set it. Whole numbers from 100 to 32,000 work here.
Sensitivity is the in-game Mouse Sensitivity value. At 400 DPI, a lot of hipfire settings sit between 1.0 and 3.0.
400 DPI vs 800 DPI in CS2
400 DPI at 2.0 and 800 DPI at 1.0 both make 800 eDPI and 52.0 cm/360. The turn is the same. Sensor feel and how the mouse tracks on your pad are not in this formula.
When does the same eDPI stay the same?
Inside CS2 hipfire
Keep eDPI the same and cm/360 stays put. 400 × 2.0 and 800 × 1.0 are both 800 eDPI and 52.0 cm/360.
Outside that
Paste 800 into Valorant or Apex and the turn changes, because those games use a different yaw. Convert it instead of pasting the CS2 number.
The sample median is 800. That is the midpoint of 10 rows, not a best CS2 eDPI.
AWP zoom is not hipfire eDPI. This page does not set scoped sensitivity.
What do people get wrong about CS2 eDPI?
There is a best eDPI for CS2.
The 2026-07-25 sample median is 800, and the middle 80% is 680 to 1000. People sit all over that band. Pad width and how you aim matter more than a famous number.
400 DPI is better than 800 DPI.
Same eDPI, same CS2 cm/360. 400 × 2.0 and 800 × 1.0 both make 800 eDPI and 52.0 cm/360.
The same eDPI feels the same in every game.
Yaw is not shared. Keep CS2 eDPI here. If you want the same cm/360 in another FPS, convert it.
The sample tells you which setting to use.
It is 10 Liquipedia rows from 2026-07-25. Median 800 and middle 80% 680 to 1000 describe those rows.
Can I paste this into another FPS?
Inside CS2, matching eDPI means matching cm/360. In another game the same number can turn a different distance, because yaw can differ. Zoom and cross-game conversion are separate jobs. This page is CS2 hipfire eDPI.
| Question | Fact |
|---|---|
| Same eDPI, 400 vs 800 DPI? | Same CS2 cm/360 |
| Same eDPI in another game? | Different turn distance |
| Is the sample a recommendation? | No. Median 800, n=10 |
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a good eDPI for CS2?
Use the 2026-07-25 sample as a starting point, not a rule. Median eDPI is 800. The middle 80% of those 10 Liquipedia rows runs from 680 to 1000. Play deathmatch from there. If a full turn at 52.0 cm does not fit the pad, raise the value.
What does 800 eDPI mean in CS2?
800 eDPI is 800 DPI × 1.0, or 400 DPI × 2.0. Hipfire cm/360 is 52.0 cm at yaw 0.022. In the 2026-07-25 sample of 10 players, 800 is the median. It is a common place to start, not a setting you have to keep.
Should I use 400 or 800 DPI for CS2?
400 DPI at 2.0 and 800 DPI at 1.0 both make 800 eDPI and 52.0 cm/360. The turn matches. Which DPI you keep is about the mouse and the pad, not about this formula.
Can I use my CS:GO sensitivity in CS2?
Yes for the base number. CS:GO and CS2 both use yaw 0.022, so the same sensitivity keeps the same hipfire eDPI. Scoped and zoom values do not carry over that way.
What does the CS2 reference sample mean?
The band is 10 active CS2 settings checked on Liquipedia on 2026-07-25. Median 800 eDPI, middle 80% from 680 to 1000. That is a snapshot of those rows. It does not pick a setting for you.
